Looking to try out this fishery for the first time later in August any first hand experience input on guides would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tom

Haven't met him but a friend did down in hayward and had nothing but good things to say about Tanner Wildes. He will be my choice if I get a job and can afford to get a guide for the st. louis before the year is over.

I'll second Dustin Carlson ... he seem to have that river pretty dialed in.

Pete Brzezinski of Northland Musky Adventures would be my choice. Both Pete and Dustin live in Superior and fish the river everyday. Not sure anyone knows it better, and Pete is as nice a guy as you could ever fish with. Another way to look at this is that I go up and fish the St Louis 2 to 3 times a year and always go out with Pete, haven't been disappointed yet.

I have fished with both Pete and Tanner, can't go wrong with either of them

Pete is local and is really dialed in, very humble, and fun to fish with. He gets lots of big fish that go unheard of!

Tanner Wildes - good guy and lots of fun.
The only bad thing is that your sides will be sore at the end of the day from laughing so much!

Tanner is on the river once or twice a month, go with Dustin or Pete who are on the water almost every day.

I've fished with Tanner on the Chip and he's a good guide, but Dustin and Pete are out there way more often. They might not have the name recognition that Tanner has, but they're good sticks. In the end, you probably can't go wrong with any of them.
