Posts: 1887 Location: syracuse indiana | they do make or they used to i have some but the one that kicks but for me the lip broke off and i cant find another, and rapala dont sell the lips, i did get ahold of james from tacklebooty and he had some . but i havent gottem yet, but i need to, becouse the one i have the color they do not make anymore and it has caught a ton of fish through the years, it is a suspender but i dont think that rapala makes the super shad rap in suspender anymore, if they do i know its not im my special color its from another area of the world not the usa< its a pearch that i have never seen anywhere here in the states. and as for the suspending its the bomb, better than the floaters, you can work them very fast and hard and on the stop it will hang....bill

Posts: 203 Location: Germantown, WI | This lure is essentially new. I don't think it has ever been in the water. I'm pretty sure that Rapala has only ever made one version of the Super Shad Rap. They did make a plastic version of the regular shad rap (bass/walleye size) that was suspending. I think it was called a Shad Rap RS or something like that, but I never saw one in the Super Shad Rap. I actually have another Super Shad Rap that is almost identical to this one that has also never been in the water. I'd be willing to part with both if someone is interested. I've never tried one of Tacklebooty's Super Ciscos. I know they are made of plastic instead of balsa as in the Super Shad Rap so I assume that they are much less buoyant. I'm not sure if they suspend. Edited by MUSKYLUND1 1/31/2010 12:59 PM

Posts: 203 Location: Germantown, WI | Michael, I stand corrected. I can say that I've never seen a sinking Super Shad Rap sold retail in the US. If Normark ever marketed them over here I must have missed it.

Posts: 501 Location: Norway | No not in Norway, they dont have SSR's anymore at all. When they stopped taking them in, they sold out what they had, cheap But I think I got the sinkers in Sweden actually, many moons ago. I will swap mine for a Beaver Perkette or Hughes River :P Michael
