I have a 54 inch on my 165 navigator that is 37" deep at the bow. Good sized waves before it comes out of the water...

| I run the 60" Maxxum 101LB Thrust on Crestliner 1600 Sport Angler. You should be able to run the 54" but it is nice to have both the extra length and power. Over kill yes but we can troll in almost all weather when needed |

Agreed. Had a 54 on a Alumacraft Lunker 16.5 and wished I had a 60. Go 60. |

| By all means, go with a 60 inch motor and you will not regret it. |

Location: Hastings, mn, 55033 | I would suggest a 60" as well. You can always pull it up in the mount for fishing shallower water, but you cant make the 54" go deeper if its all the way down and still coming out of the water in bigger waves.
I run a 60" on my pro-v 1775. |
