I'm relocating to the Twin Cities area and was wondering if there are any muskies in the St. Croix river North of the Interstate??
What other bodies of water in that area hold skis?

Thanks
Chad

ya almost the whole st.croix holds skies. Theres good fishing between hudson and stillwater. look for creeks and tributaries going into the st. croix. Also try White Bear and Bald eagle. They are highly pressured in the summer but hold good numbers and big ones.

No muskie here, just sold out. I believe there is 20+ lakes within the metro areas that contain skies, pending on were you move to in the cities that will help give you better ideas of what lakes will be close, St Croix, has fish north and south of the i-94 bridge.

No skies in Coon Lake, closest to Coon Lake with Muskies would likely be Forest, East/West Rush, then you always have White Bear and Bald Eagle like other have mentioned.

You can get some ideas of what area lakes hold on the mndnr site http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/lakefind/index.html It may be useful in getting an idea where to start.

Has anybody been doing any good on the St. Croix lately ?

Any reports would be nice, as I may try to get out there soon. Thanks.

your not that far from anything in the metro,,,St Croix is in the Hartman tourney and the awards site is over in Maple Grove.
understand this is second only to Minnetonka for boat traffic learn those spots in the minimum wake section.
Hang Out and get acquainted with Blue Ribbon bait in Woodbury "Josh" the owner is a muskie guide and is the current tiger state record holder he has a good selection of Muskie tackle and a vast Knoledge of the east side
If you buy a metro fishing guidebook make note that some of the tiger lakes listed are about to be dropped by the dnr program although they should provide fishing for a few more years
