For those of you who are unable or unwilling to attend the upcoming DNR hearings for the state of WI, there is something you can do that only takes about 5 minutes of your time.

Let the DNR know what's important to you!

http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/invest/fwhplan/survey.html

Option 1, complete on-line survey. This is your chance to express your opinion on the future of wildlife and fisheries management in Wisconsin, and you don't even have to get up from your chair. You want increased size limits? Concerned about urban runoff, shoreline development, or even feral cats?

Speak up, it's free, and it couldn't be easier!

I encourage all of you to submit this survey. Suggest more musky stocking, higher musky size limits, and mandatory quick strike rigs for musky fishing with live bait.

Thank you

If this was the approach that MN musky fishermen (and those from other states that helped too....THANK YOU!!!) had taken, we wouldn't be looking at higher size limits this year and we wouldn't be looking at new musky waters in our future.

Doing nothing will help make nothing happen.

Speak up and voice your opinion. And when you're done speaking up, speak up some more. We have a core of individuals in the state of MN that are on a mission to make a difference and they are doing just that. With the help of ALL musky fishermen, this job will become much less of an overwhelming task.

I rarely fish in WI anymore. But you can bet that I'll be taking a minute or two to take this survey. Even if I were to never fish in WI again, helping another state to better their musky program is a step in bettering musky fishing everywhere.

If you're reading this thread, you have an interest in musky fishing. Take a minute and go to the link posted. Make your opinion count for something and help to make a difference.

Thank you, esoxaddict, for posting this!

That's odd. The newest 50" limit in WI, Pelican Lake, was started with a meeting and a survey. Ended with a meeting and votes via the spring hearings. I think we accomplished alot through these meetings and surveys.

Defeatist attitudes and nonparticipation will leave us with 34" limits for eternity. Those that will not do even the very least to help best not complain.

Not complaining one way or the other. Just see not reason in participating in something that will go nowhere, like an on-line survey. If so I'd like to see how it does. Most of the meetings here are for Lake Associations so that leaves anyone not on a lake out of the picture. Higher size limits are fine in the waters where you can grow big fish. Does not mean they should be for all the waters since not all of them can grow big fish.

Nods to Minnesota.....here never goes anywhere.

34-inch limits served their purposes and changed. I'll repeat that some lakes and rivers are going to produce just that according to the Wisconsin Water Resources Manuals I have read.

Saw the survey really had no important questions on it.
