Posts: 399 Location: Burton, Ohio | Hey everybody hope your doing well. finished some new ones up last night. The black one with is well....... I really don't know what it is. I wanted to start a black sucker but it changed into something that looks more like a trout. If you have good names for it now is the time  I did a perch and I am happy with it. The walleye I made last time bothered me. not enough contrast. This one I darkened up the dark patches and changed the eye. I like it better. I took off some of the rubber bumper door pads that were on the back of the kitchen doors, painted them and stuck them on. The wife is not happy because the doors slam!  I'll get some more today. The baits are all 10" long. Not sure what they weigh. I have to get a scale. Have a great day! Posts: 399 Location: Burton, Ohio | Yes that is copper foil in a sense. It is a copper laminate. It was left over from a job I worked on at work. (I'm a cabinetmaker). Had some scraps. It is about 1/16" thick and rigid. You need a flat area. The other thing is that you have to fill all the dimples with epoxy. It takes alot to get the smooth effect. Then you are on the edge of it getting cloudy. It takes about $6 worth of epoxy. They look great but are very time consuming. About 16 hrs on that one. Here is a pic of a piece of scrap. It is about $459.00 dollars a sheet (4X8) Thanks everybody for the feedback and compliments. If you have any ideas I am all ears! Chico, In a year my wife will have me booted from the house! She is at the end of her rope!  she said if I redirected the focus on the house it would get finished! Starting to lose hope for me first musky. The weather is breaking down fast. I'll come out of the box swinging next spring. I wished I got the fever earlier. Like the summer. It will be a long winter thinking of those buggers. Posts: 399 Location: Burton, Ohio | Mike I like that "smoked carp" name. You gave me some ideas! LOL I'm not sure what it weighs. I am going to get a scale tonight and I'll let you know. You got me curious. I had it in the swimming pool yesterday. It rides high and has a slight curl down on the jerk. Nice to see that it doesn't favor any one side. I may start another tonight and put rattles in it also make it sink very slow. Got to get some more epoxy! | ||
