I noticed that I am lacking, crankbaits in my tacklebox. Especially 6 to 7.5 inch size. I was just wondering what makers you’ve had the most success with. I’m looking for models that are more specific for casting than trolling. Thanks

I love my cranks own lots of them and most my large fish have been caught on them. And I'm a caster, count them down over open water, run them thru thick weeds or on reefs. I have lots of the old pre ROI Raiders in all sizes and models, Ernie's, Jake, Grandma, Triple D's, Slammer's and 254 and a new one Big Guy Bait. They all work.

Slammers have their place for sure, but you get what you pay for. Old depth raiders, Grandma's and Livingston's crank (kind of a DR knock off) are my faves. Cisco Kid's with the metal lip too.

Thanks for the replies. All great products. I am looking for something that’s neutral buoyant that goes 1 to 3 feet deep.

Shallow Invader might work for that. Have had some luck with them.

Has anyone tried or had success with the chaos tackle mini X crank baits? The 6.75 has caught my eye.

Without knowing the situation you would be using it, all musky crankbaits work very well. Lures are tools and it's about picking the right one for that specific situation.
