Posts: 203 | Has anyone ever grocery shopped the Walmart in Fort Frances Canada ? Good selection ? I was thinking of shopping there instead of lugging everything from the Chicago area. Any thoughts or sugestions about this ? Thanks

Posts: 407 Location: Selkirk, Manitoba | Don't know about that particular store but I'm sure the same as any other Walmart up here where I can't imagine there would be anything it doesn't have that you are looking for. Not sure if this link works where you are at, but this will give you an idea: https://www.walmart.ca/en/cp/grocery/10019

Posts: 279 | Walmart in Fort Frances should have most of what you need, want for grocery. Nice store. Keep in mind the time of day you'll be doing your shopping. Meat, & fresh produce selection can be pretty wiped out very early or late in the day. Other good stops for groceries in the Fort are SafeWay, & if traveling up highway 11/71, Cloverleaf in Emo. On the US side, Super One in IFalls is also very well stocked, great selection, & has just about everything you might need.

Posts: 1550 Location: Brighton CO. | It's been over 20 years since I fished in Canada. The first two times would with Muskie INC. crew so it was a group effort, then the first time as a family we stayed at Minaki and there was no place to buy food (we knew this from the trip before with the Muskie INC. crew) so we filled a giant cooler full of stuff in Brookings S.D. The next year 2002 they reopened the lodge and golf course and the store was open in town and restaurants were open things were booming in Minaki. That fall the guy who ran the lodge didn't pay his crew for the whole summer and they burnt the place to the ground that fall. 2004 was our last year. Not much up there except a lot of fish. The size of our fish went way down after that but we had to kept the non fishing members of the family happy too. For the record my mom and dad were married 60 +years when my dad passed.
