Had a fun time in N.WI...but only a 37 to show for it.

How did everyone else do?

Once again was raising fish all day Saturday, but none were willing to bite. Decided to leave the metro and managed to boat a 43" Sunday night.

Fished for a few hours Sunday night in the TC metro area. We raised six fish or so, two of them being legit giants. All the fish we saw were extremely lazy and refused to engage in the 8 at all.

I'm new to this thing I'm not sure this is going to make it through. My wife and I are going to be going to Dells Wisconsin for one of those Bass Pro vacation spots and would like to know what lakes are in the area that we can rent a boat to fish for muskies and Northerns next month. We also have a thing for walleyes and small e so if we can get a mix at a big great. My next question is what type of terrain should I expect what type of plugs should I bring. I presently live in Massachusetts but have a lot of fishing time in the Thousand Islands St Lawrence all the way to Northwest Ontario 4 million little Vermilion Lake Etc. Also if there's any good links it would forward online I would appreciate it thanks good fishing. Dave

Great weekend, even with the wind.

3x (30",37",40") lost two more boatside, one upper 40's that bent out a 7/0 treble and got loose..

We were able to get two on the Fox Chain on Friday - 41.5 and 40.5. Probably a dozen coming up to examine the offerings but only one actually made any turns at the boat. The two that ate did so well away from the boat.

As long as the really warm temperatures don't get the water too hot, I'm hoping this week helps turn some of those other fish active.

What we did note was the tremendous girth on the two low 40s fish. The first one I thought would have been much larger than it measured when it was first hooked away from the boat. They seemed very healthy. If only they could get a little older here, there would be some really hefty ones. Both were probably over 20#.

Participated in the One Hope United outing on deep lake near lindenhurst. The kid i had with me said it was the most fun he had in ten years. Let him drive the boat and he was beside himself. Very rewarding. Sunday was way too hot.

Air temps in the 90's this week. Indiana and illinois will be done by the weekend. Supposed to cool off the following week so keep our fingers crossed.

Tough weekend again in western mn. Raised lazy fish every day and regardless of lure and presentation they wouldn't go. Water was 70-72 friday and by Sunday it was 69-71. Bass were biting all varieties of musky lures though, which was interesting.

Fishing the Bemidji area next weekend and doing the Bemidji MI tourney again. Hoping the fish are a little more cooperative up there.

Low 70's Friday, 74 on Sunday in the afternoon. My kids report that the water is "Freezing" a foot below the surface though.

Not sure what the next few days will bring with temps in the 80's-90's

Manged to catch my first two of the year, and both were on topwater which was a first for me. Small fish but still exciting

Fished Sunday on the Fox Chain. We had two fish follow at the same time one ate on the 8 but trashed like crazy and came off. Seen a few more and another strike. The boats chased us off at noon.

Will be fishing the Big Empty this weekend, for the opener. Water is 60* or so, hoping it warms up just a little bit going into the weekend.
