| Does anyone have experience using these? I am considering buying one but wanted to hear some feedback first. I like that they can be so compact, but had some concerns that they might work as easy as they look on Keyes Outdoors. My biggest concern is that they don't always roll out perfectly flat for a quick, easy, and accurate measurement. Hope to hear some good things on these, because they seem like they would be handy. |

Location: Madison, WI | I'm actually quite unimpressed with the board on Keyes. Looks like it's never flat and would be about as accurate as a bump stick for the reasons above. If you don't want a true bump board, those rapala boards fold into 3 and are like $12 |

Yep. Truth be told, what more do you really need? Rapala bumper is perfect and compact. |

| The board flattens out pretty well when you put a fish on it but, to take a prefect measurement you'd have to take an extra couple seconds. Not really a big deal for most fish...most of us are fine with a ballpark measurement on 98% of the fish we catch. For a really big one you could easily take a few extra seconds to get a very accurate measurement. When we played with it a little the wrinkles accounted for 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Not a huge deal to me when weighed against the $/storage/portability ect. It's great for shore fishing to protect fish and works great for travel. Probably not for tournaments though!

It's a commercially produced bump board, right ? If so, then it's good enough for the World Record Release Program !

When I see them measuring a fish on Keyes it usually has wrinkles/waves in it or the part that the fish's lip goes against is angled. I got a brand new Muskie Bumper from Steve Worrall for $55 last year. He had a bunch that he was selling for $50 if you were in the Speedy delivery area. |

| The more I think about it I will probably stick with a traditional bump board at this time due to the better accuracy and also concerns of messing around rolling it out while I'm trying to get a quick measurement before I safely release a fish. The roll out is a little cheaper, but $50 seems over priced for the material it is made out of and isn't enough of a cost savings to justify it. |
