Posts: 311 Location: Lake St.Clair | Just wondering which Lakewood is best for huskys, pounders, monsters etc? Looking at the monster box but would like some input from owners. Thank you

Posts: 558 | My buddy bought a new monster box, nice box, but when he put pounders in it tail down, the tails woud get caught inbetween the bottom and the the sides and has lost some peices of tails off of his dawgs. He is not happy about that at all. Just a heads up. Like i said, nice box, but has a flaw in them.

Posts: 311 Location: Lake St.Clair | Thank ya sir I'm looking to avoid that kind of issue. I'll have to either wait for someone to chime in or do some more searching until I can see one with pounders in it in different sizes they offer.

Posts: 61 Location: Rogers, MN | I hate to be one that doesn't answer a specific question (Which Lakewood?), but I do have to agree with muskyhunter47 about the Just Encase products. Bob does have something he's worked on for plastics like pounders. Touch base with him. He's great to have working for you. He'll set you up right.

Posts: 94 | im Going to agree with FishinFreaks I have a just encase box it is amazing, holds a ton of baits, I have it up by the front deck and it adds another 2 feet of space. He can set it up however you want it. I can send you pictures of it if you like. I'm 6-2 250 pounds and I stand on it all day long

Posts: 311 Location: Lake St.Clair | Yeah I know just little pricey was looking at the possibility of a used Lakewood. I have a buddy who has a custom encase and it is a insane box and I love it. But I need something portable which I do know he can do... Money is tight and if I could afford a new custom made encase I would own one already lol.

Shoot him an e-mail and see what he'd recommend for the big plastics. The worst he can do is tell you a case you can't afford right now. Maybe save up a bit over the winter? Unless you're south, there's only weeks left in the season now.

Posts: 1638 Location: Minnesota | The box in the center is my trolling baits I have 14 inch Jakes no problem. The box on the right is my carrying box if I go with someone else. Bob has boxes done sitting on a shelf give him a call he might have a older model that he would give you a deal on Attachments ---------------- IMG_20150928_13654.jpg (19KB - 399 downloads)

Posts: 311 Location: Lake St.Clair | Well I shot him a email maybe he has some older boxes that would work good for rubbers. I will own one of those custom built deck boxes at some point just not right now lol. Thank ya for the opinions maybe I can work something out with my budget. If not I'll keep running the special mate boxs I own for now or maybe look at used Lakewood options.

Posts: 31 Location: Chicago | I can't speak to a box specifically for rubbers, but I ordered a Just ENCASE from Bob recently and I can't say enough about the quality and customer service. Top notch all around.
