Posts: 151 Location: West of the metro, MN | Hey guys my brother and I are looking to do a trip to vermillion in October. We wanna do it as cheap as possible. Before spending hours combing through the Internet for places that are open that late I figured I'd check here. What are some routes you guys have taken for late season fishing? Would even be willing sleep in our trucks as long as we could find a place to plug in the boat.

Work and family take up a lot of time. We got a chance to fish hard and just wanna make the most of it on some good water.

Sites aren't tent worthy, and I think the ones with Electric are limited, but nice landing, harbor, location. Sites used to be like $15-$20 in the fall. Edited by Reef Hawg 8/15/2015 8:10 PM

Posts: 3150 | The cassino is a great place to stay,,we've gotten in cheap sometimes,,,go check out fortune bays website they may have an online special,,also sometimes if you call a casino and tell them you've never been there they sometimes throw you a deal,,provided they don't have a major concert that night. October in northeast MN can be nasty all day long in waves,,gets dark a lot earlier you want a warm room to relax, charge boat and dry out rain gear if need be,,otherwise you'll end up going to the bar till close and spend just has much on the bar tab.

Posts: 1638 Location: Minnesota | danmuskyman - 8/17/2015 8:30 PM The Larry Ramsell event is pretty reasonable? The Larry Ramsell outing is held at the vermilion dam lodge center of the lake so it's easy to fish east or west part of the lake This is more expensive then the spring bay outing . But all you have to do is fish the rest is tacking care for. Wake up in the morning and head over to the lodge have a cup of coffee they serve you a fantastic breakfast. Send you out fishing with a box lunch.fish all day come back and eat dinner talk about the fishing of the day . They have prizes give away after dinner each night. Larry dose a great job tacking a bought muskies . they have some of the best guides in MN that all so talk a bought what us working on the lake and what there seeing.then they draw for who gets to go fishing with Larry and the guide the next day. The vermilion dam lodge is well worth the money show up and Fish is all you have to do the rest is taking care of that's the best part.
