Posts: 70 Location: Winfield,IN | Going to make it out this week and just wondering if there is any news on the lakes. I will most likely fish the chain unless one of the others is doing well. I haven't been out since before summer so I am clueless on water temp and the bite. Most likely I will be going Wednesday. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Posts: 52 | I trolled Tippy/James for about 5 hours Friday. Water was 59*. Although I didn't hook any, I marked a lot of bait-fish and what looked like a lot Muskies over deep water (30' to 60') about half way down. Marked more fish on the north shore of Tippy than I did in James. Good Luck !!

Posts: 76 | Webster has been kicking out some nice fish lately. Chae Dolsen got a 50 plus a little over a week ago---- and he's been getting some good numbers too. I would think all the area lakes will be transitioning soon----- blades over the weed flats should be turning fish right now----- and ALWAYS drag "MEAT" this time of the year----it will produce day in / day out. Casting plastics on the breaks and basins will produce as well. If you're looking for a trophy--- maybe Tippy/James------ for action----the Chain or Webby may be a better option----although there are giants in there too. I would choose whatever lake you know best---- small "spot on the spot" areas can be vital this time of the year. Good Luck----Pat Elza

Posts: 70 Location: Winfield,IN | Wed and Thursday water temps were 59-61 depending on location on tippy. The chain was similar.
