OK,

Since my post extolling the virtues of the current administration in the Cave Run thread was deleted, my request still remains...

I need intel on this body of water...

I don't know of anyone who will admit to doing well on Brookville. The stocking numbers say they are there, and the DNR gets them in the nets when trapping for walleye. I hear about people getting one hear and there. I have seen a few in coves, but am yet to feel like I have any areas figured out to the point of being confident. I wish I could figure something consistent out there. Good Luck.

I haven't seen any recent stocking info but I remember seeing some number from the past. If I recall correctly they stocked a lot of muskies but they were smaller fish, not the ideal 11" to 13" size. I live in Southern Indiana but Brookville is still a long way from my house in Evansville. If I were to hear something encouraging, I'd make the trip over there to check it out.

Thanks for the replies both in this thread and for the few that PM'ed me with the lowdown. I have been studying this particular lake for quite some time with the Navionics software app on my desktop; school is out, time to fish. What's the worst that could happen? Not hook-up? It's not like that never happened before, and in my world, there is no such thing as a bad day fishing. Pics to follow perhaps...

He says the dam end is mostly where they come from.

That is incorrect. After all Ohio program lakes are stocked the remaining fish are stocked into Pymatuning Reservoir on the OH/PA border. Pymatuning received 2,370 "surplus" fish this year.

That may be true but Brookville is an Indiana lake stocked by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, not ohio

Anyone happen to know where to find the latest stocking information here? I have scanned the Indiana DNR website and haven't been able to determine anything.

I don't think they put it online. Each year they do put a report together that is presented at the Hoosier Muskie Hunter club meeting. I think I still have all of those at home. If I can find them, I will pm them to you.
