| I Guess we will all be having fun on Sunday!
Milwaukee...low 32 high 43 rain changing to snow.
Dress well guys and bring some hot coffee because its cold.[] |

| Bummer Jason. Maybe you guys need to come up and spend some time in sunny Alaska.. Was fishing on the Kenai River the last two days...yesterday it was 48 and today it was 57....bring the suntan lotion...[;)]
Caught my largest rainbow to date....it was an extremely fat 26" and weighed in at 8 lbs. Not too bad for using a 9', 5 wt flyrod.

| I've been out a lot lately in the nasty weather. Friday afternoon I was sliding around in the slush on the bottom of my boat. Hot coffee is a good idea, and here's a simple mental trick that helps me.....
I think to myself, "Dang, if I were ice fishing in February this would be a nice, warm day!" Then I take a slug of Jim Beam Black Label and yell to the lake, "I'm the luckiest SOB in da Yoop!"
Works great, try it. |

| Jason,
Darrin and I were out this morning in the snow, yes snow, water temps 38-42 depending on where you were over the weekend.
By the way..
"Your new house" still has a sign in the front yard, drove by it yesterday when I too Darrin's Ranger back to him.

| I fished Friday on Leech here in Northern Minnesota. It was nasty, snow, wind, rain and cold, but I was rewarded with a very heavy, large fish. Probably in the 35 lb. range, she had been eating well. Really ate a 12 inch Slammer deep diver I was trolling. I had to cut two sets of hooks. The split ring on the center hook was spread nearly open. I have switched to Wolverine rings on all my Slammers after this scare. Suspended in deep water full of bait. I assume Cisco's, as we are approaching their spawning time. My son caught a fat 40 inch fish a short time later, same area. Fish are putting on the feed bag, water temps in Walker Bay are near 45 degrees, the Cisco's usually spawn at 43 degrees in the Bay.
Good luck, Murph |
