I am heading to Vermillion the first week of July 2012. It happens to fall on the full moon. Does the night bite occur that early? Thanks

Posts: 94 | Doesn't really have a start time. I have caught fish in January at night. 2004 my first fish was at 2am on January 1st down on shelbyville fishing below the dam. I think it more depends on what air temps you can stand to bare while fishing at night. You should be fine that time of year. Edited by Andrew Veach 11/26/2011 6:47 PM

boated 8 last year opening weekend in the twin cities all but one came before 10 at night. With all the boat pressure opening weekend the fish are looking to eat after spawning and it becomes much easier for them after dark. Really nice when you have the lake to yourself. 5 of the 8 were over 40 great time to be out.

Posts: 20218 Location: oswego, il | Steve, your right. I could not imagine how bright early seasoned untanned FSF legs would look like but I bet they could turn night into day let alone the harmful glare they must out on the water when it is light out!

Posts: 3240 Location: Racine, Wi | fjd - 11/27/2011 9:24 PM Thanks guys. Bait of choice for late June night musky fishing ? Pretty much the same things I throw the rest of the year. Night fishing in June is definitely excellent! We're typically throwing 10's, big rubber, swimbaits, and cranks depending on what's going at the time.
