Posts: 14 | I was wondering if anyone has any pics of the traxstech rails installed on their boat with the down east rod holders. The traxs website doesnt show much for pics set-up with them. Was contemplating getting a ranger style rail for my crestliner but would like the ability to remove the rod holders quickly, sounds like the traxstech are the way to go but I didnt see any model of the down east holders that fits into a rail system. I also have a custom crestliner cover that I dont think would fit if I went with the ranger style rail. any thoughts or opinions on a decent set-up.

Posts: 14 | Really? nobody has any input at all on the traxstech rail system? I searched it a couple days ago and everyone said how much they liked theirs, now no one can give me some input.

Posts: 2037 Location: lansing, il | Here is mine. I run Folbes and Down east. Its kinda hard to see but my down east is a clamp on style that mounts to a plate that slides in the track. Attachments ---------------- folbe 004.jpg (49KB - 174 downloads)

"the folbes are mounted backwards on that rig." They are not mounted they are on the Traxstech sliding track and just happen to be slid on that way. They are used correctly dont worry. thanks for caring though. Sport, Here in the ghetto, if its clean then the thieves can find what they are looking for easier.

Posts: 14 | Thanks to those with input, I like the way it looks. I guess I'd probably have to do the same as muskihntr and get the clamp on down east holders as I didnt see a down east model with a base that slid into the traxstech rail. Still thought it looked decent and seems to be what I am lookin for. Thanks again.

Posts: 3240 Location: Racine, Wi | I run a Crestliner and wish I would have put the tracks on. I run the ranger rails with the rail mount down easters and every time I have to put the cover on, I have to take the time to unscrew all of the rod holders. The cover does fit over the rails though. I'd say go for the tracks. Makes life much easier for putting the holders on and taking them off.
