| I have both of these reels, and I'm trying to decide which one to keep. It's going to be on a 7'9" MH rod used for smaller bucktails, topwaters, and jerkbaits. They are about the same weight, same gear ratio/line retrieve. The red isis has a smaller profile and spool. I like that it has the power handle and thumbar.
I've used c3's before so I know what I'm getting with that, but I know nothing about the Red Isis. It sure is flashy though! Is it a reel I should stay away from? |

Location: Denmark | The ABU Ambassaduers are truly the Kalashnikov of fishing reels, and it's a lot easier to get spares for than the Okuma. Also it's a tough and proven construction, that has landed more big fish than any other reel in history. It is easy to repair, looks good, so IMO you can't go wrong with the ABU.

| Sell them for what... $60 a piece at best?? Then what am I going to buy with my $120 that is so much nicer than a c3? I don't have money laying around to spend on this stuff and I only fish about 3-4 days a week throughout the summer and it's muskies about half the time. I don't think I need an outstanding reel on a setup that won't even be used a lot. |

Seriously if you fish 3 or 4 time a week and 1/2 the time for musky you fish more than most people on this board! |

Location: Iowa Great Lakes | Fishing 2-3 days a week for muskies sell them and buy a good reel. Lots of reels on the market better than a C-3, most haven't lasted a month in our boats but we do fish daily and muskies only. |

Sorry man, I'm not trying to come off like that at all. I guess I just assumed most people on this board fished muskies more often than 2 times a week, but it looks like I'm wrong.
Kinda funny that the answer I'm getting from this poll seems to be either keep both or get rid of both, and thanks for the input. I guess I'm just trying to find the cheapest way in this situation and that's not the best idea in musky fishing.
Again sorry if I'm coming off as a jerk, that's not what I'm trying to do. |

Location: MN | In situation like this, I'd keep both reels for now and collect money for new better reel and when you'll buy new one then sell both Abu & Okuma or keep one as a backup reel. |
