Was out last week and the northern lakes seem to have an algea bloom. Water was green and weeds were scarce. Seen 2 smaller fish but that was it.

I Have not been out in a week but it was up to 80 degrees when i left last time out. Like Muskiewhored said Topwater has been good but mostly in lowlight conditions for me. Cant go wrong with the natural colored 10's. or 8's. Bucktail bite has been strong. Stuck 8 in August so far - 31.5,32,33,35,38.5,44.5,46,47.5. 3 on top, the rest on 10's Good Luck!

I hit the chain today, NOTHING! Used everything, buzz baits, buck tails , a bull dawg, and some jointed rapalas, NOTHING!

My bro is out today. he mentioned the lakes (Channel) are very dirty and not alot of weeds. Is this from another weed kill? That stuff really seems to turn the water to crap. Seems like more weeds but much cleaner water would be the better choice. Is this a trend in the past number of years or more of an anomaly?
