Location: Grand Rapids, MI | Here's a design that I've wanted to make for 20 years but have never taken the time... If you can find someone to pour the heads the best hooking option IMO would be to replace the hook with a double looped piece of wire (one end hooks to the arm, as a hook would and the other extends out of the head where the hook would). Then you could attach a Siwash hook to the loop and shrinktube it straight to stay in line with the arm. I'm guessing you would have one bad a$$ hooking spinnerbait. There was something like this on the market years ago in the bass world but if I remember right it was a hook crimped to stranded wire. Feel free to steal my design just send me a few. Posts: 2270 Location: SE, WI. | Chad; There is no problem building what you want . Just do not cast hook in the head. Leave excess wire on back end and wrap hook with excess wire and shrink tube. I have bullet heads in that size, swimmer heads in 3/4oz, all my other molds are in excess of 1 oz. I use a salmon hook. They penetrate instantly. I've been building my own spinnerbaits for years. I do not like marketed spinnerbaits because I feel lead casted hooks give the spinnerbait rigidy and help fish get leverage to throw bait. Good luck with that! Hope this helps!
