Has anyone ever stayed here? Considering staying there next summmer. Stayed at Bayview last year and was disappointed in the accomodations...musty with floorboards in bathroom that were rotted, etc....

Trancheff's?

We stayed there last time we went up to Vermillion.  Although it is small with only two cabins, it was a great place.  It is located in an awesome spot on the lake, as you can head out and fish either end of the lake.  We even raised a couple of fish right off the docks.  It is not the fanciest place on the planet, but for a group of muskies guys it was great.  Full kitchen, satellite TV, grills.......just great ol comfortable.  Pat is also a great guy.  Has boated some monster fish himself.  The first day we got there, we sat down with him and he marked our lake map up with spots.  They were all some really good spots, alot of them known to everyone and some that were not.  I have no problem recommending that someone stay there with them.

If ya have any questions, shoot me an email or PM

I have stayed there too and can basically say the same as above. Pat also told me that he is not always full and to have people check if they are looking last minute. They have covered docks and boathouses too. It is at the crossroads of east and west so you can go either direction. Ice cream and a small eatery is right across the street. You are not far from town, near the casino for the buffets and buck burgers on monday nights at bayview lodge.

Muskies are right there off the docks, so are the smallies. One day I was looking into the water in the boathouse around the posts and pilings and was looking at what I thought at the time was a huge crossmember. Kinda dark and could not make it out all the way. The next day it was not there!

Awsome.....thanks guys....I'm deciding between making two four day camping trips...one early july second one early august ....McKinly Park Campground at the far east end....

my other option would be to rent a cabin for a week...

I like the idea of two four day stints so that if the weather is poor, there is always another trip and another chance....

Again....thanks so much for your input!

This place is incredible, I spent alot of summers there, best time of my life. The fishing is great. I'll be there this July with my dad who grew up there. The cabins are spotless. By the way I was a Trancheff before I married.

Maybe we'll see you there as that's our timeframe!

Look for a red Ranger boat at the dock....come over and say HI!--We'll be the only non-seasonal campers there so that'd be us..
