Went out yesterday and Jenny Hook put the first two fish in the boat of the season. The first was a low 30 inch fish, but the next was a nice 40" fish. The water temps are in the low 40's, but the warm up in on the way with highs in the lower 60's by next week.

Fishing should be great in the south!

Thanks
Gregg

ps I will try to post a pic.

I only live 4 hours from the cave and wouldn't drive that far to fish it...you guys must be die hard to drive 7 or 8. Come to West Virginia and fish guys, I think it's just as good with zero pressure. But maybe I just gave away a secret there...oops. lol

Gregg, congrats, that's fantastic. 'Course, if anybody can catch them there you can. What water temps did you find?

Don't be dissin me home waters, now, Shawn. WV's got some good lakes along the I-79 corridor, but the Cave's much closer to the northern muskie states. m

Ah Mikie, I aint dissing the cave...It's a known prover just saying that maybe some fellows might want to try some new water that is full of Musky but never really fished. I mean actually by only driving another hour or two you can hit 3 nice lakes right by each other. When ya coming over to fish stonewall mikie?

I believe it reads water temps in the 40's and the weather is supposed to warm into the 60's.

Made my day to see this. I was hoping that the muskies would start to turn on down there as I've been watching the weather for Kentucky the past two weeks and it looked about perfect. Spring break is only 6 days away now and I can't wait to be down there fishing! Looks like next week should really warm the water up and turn those muskies on!
Great to see the fish Gregg, Jake Bucki
