The Trial for the Murder of my niece Shannon has been postponed to April 15th 2002, The defense attorney feels that due to the publicity that Shannon has received and the out pouring of support for the family the defendant would not get a fair trial at this time and is considering a change in venue.

Again as always thank you all for your support and thoughts

Ow, sorry to read about that! I wish you all the best and a lot of strength and I hope the defendant (that's the one who's being charged, no? my english isn't always so good) gets what's coming to him.

Thats like stealing a car and telling the cop... I will comment on this in a year of so...when you forget about it.

This is a very funny country we live in to allow this.[;)]

John,

My thoughts are with you, your family and firends as you deal with the terrible experience. My cousin and good friend was violently murdered by a couple druggies two years ago. The immediate family sat through two trials that spanned way too long of a time period. The killers got long prison sentatnces and everyone is healing now, but of course things will never be the same. You guys will heal, too, hang in there.

My heart goes out to your family during this very hurtful time. Lost a friend 10 years back in a similar fashion so feel for what your family must be going through. Take care and you'll be in my prayers. Remember that you never walk alone, in dark moments, our creator is there with us.

I wish to thank each and every one of you for your thoughts and concerns.

I would like to announce to all of my freinds new and old that I have met on this board that the year will end on a happy note for our family as my daughters boy freind of 8 years has asked me for permission for her hand in marriage. After giving him some greif about his hook set methods and losing a big one last summer permission was given, he will be giving her the ring on Christmas day.

I wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and Happy Healthy new year

Congrats to you and the family John.... There always seems to be a shining light during trying times as well. Says something about the young mans character to be asking you for permission...

Sounds like he knows how to set the hook just fine and has the catch of a lifetime..[:praise:]

Happy Holidays to you and your family,

Hello John, Upsetting news on the trial delay. I pray justice will be served eventually. Great news on the marriage proposal! With your daughter being a tv star on commercials and your future son in law a musky man in the making things are looking up! Congrats.
Is that net offer still good? I’ll have some things to trade you for it by spring. [;)]

Happy Holidays all!

Whoa, not so fast. Does he have a nice boat? Always buys the jerky and beer? You gotta think these things through.

John, I can't imagine what you are going through and then have to hear it court and then have it posponed. I hope justice gets served and in some small part vindicated.

Musky fishing is good medication and I hope you get medicated quite well next season. Got to get some scratches in that mr. pike of yours.
