Location: Northern Illinois | Definitely not 60lbs.. Yes a very large fish congrats to the angler. Just hate when people throw weight numbers out there without actually weighing the fish. I've seen many fish that look like they are 50lbs or more and the measurements/ calculations say it to be 50lbs or more but when actually weighed not even close. A certified/ calibrated Chatillon Scale and a cradle is the most accurate way to go instead of throwing numbers out there.

Posts: 390 | ....ok, next time we will call you first to get your approval of the weight the formula outputs based on measurements before we post on muskiefirst. Also we are not going to weigh a fish of this caliber just so we can be more correct... Edited by bbeaupre 1/19/2023 6:49 AM

Really nice fish regardless of how much it weighs. Congrats!

Incredible fish. I see a replica of Tom Gelb's 51# musky at a bait shop I use and as impressive as that is, this is a noticeably bigger fish. One thought I had in looking at the fish was, "how nervous was the net man?" Edited by North of 8 1/19/2023 11:21 AM

The replica I referenced is at R&W Musky Shop on Hwy 17 in Eagle River. Northern Edge Marine in Land of Lakes also has a replica.
