Location: Brighton CO. | What a beautiful lure! I've heard of cases where a giant Muskie (54"ers) will move into a bay and whip out all the Northerns and move on. Find such a bay and Muskie bring your 9' XH or XXH and your gym body and hang on tight. |

Regarding if it's a trolling bait, yes. I can't imagine casting one of these for very long. They are 17 1/2" overall including lip. |

Ha, that does seem like a daunting task! But, thinking about it, would it be any more tiring than throwing and working a Mag Dawg, let alone a Pounder? |

Location: Selkirk, Manitoba | Definitely will work well up here - last year caught one high twenties pike with big chomp that healed over - and saw/netted one struggling on surface same size that basically just got free.
Chucki's is on point with the pike being scarce when a musky or two in area. I hit a few reliable cabbage patches that are used by one or other. If I catch a small pike or two I never see a musky - on the other hand if no pike appear when conditions are right, the anticipation heightens a fair bit. I don't necessarily think the pike leave, it is more that they hold tight I think.
If we catch a big pike (35+) in area (even in August/July when they in theory should be in colder water), then time to really work the area hard. Almost always a musky or two on the same pattern.
