Location: Athens, Ohio | You'd think it would be worth MORE if it had a few teeth marks in it! That poor thing looked like it had never seen water. What a shame. m

Posts: 605 Location: Marshfield, WI | If you think that's bad, check this out. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3653666340&categ... Look at the bid history. I don't think the person selling it had any idea it would go for what it did. The starting bid was only $1.00. Krishna (Lobi posted this a few weeks ago) Edited by k-bob 2/10/2004 4:22 PM

Posts: 1243 Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | That's insane! Maybe I don't know enough about ebay, but I really didn't understand thebid history on that last one. If you look at the dates of the bids, there were several bids made AFTER the date of the actual winning bid, but were for a lesser amount. How does that work? AWH

Posts: 605 Location: Marshfield, WI | Hi, When the current bid was, say, $4500, the guy that won put a max bid for, lets say $15,000. Not sure what the max was. So, the bid is $4500, then when someone else bid, lets say they bid $6000, that guy that won, his bid moved up to $6000. The bid will move up only when someone else bids. Then when they bid over your max bid, then they become the winning bidder. Whoever has the highest bid when the auction ends, obviously wins the item. Hard to explain, but I think that explains it. Any other questions, just ask. I'm sure someone can answer it if I can't. Krishna
