| I have the itch to buy one more rod for next season since I have an extra reel (lexa 300). Current rods:
8'0" 3-8 oz
8'6" 2-6 oz
8'6" 4-10oz
What am I missing???? |

Location: Apparently where the Muskie aren't | Yep, either the pounder/2 pounder or a lighter bucktail/ jerkbait rod. If you like to, or want to throw smaller bucktails, jerkbaits, or topwaters a rod in the 3/4-3oz power could be great. |

Location: Minnesota | I would say a pounder rod. Or better yet what's your favorite bait to throw maybe get a custom rod built for that bait. Now that a 400 Tranx is coming out I'll be ordering a new buck tail rod |

Location: Chisholm, MN | Very few people actually need a 2 pounder rod. I don't see myself ever throwing one and I'm on big fish water. No reason to put your body through that abuse. A 9+ foot pounder/big bucktail rod such as the XH predator is pretty awesome. Probably don't want to pair it with a 300 reel though. |

| I agree with those above. Plus you have a nice selection already. Perhaps a lighter 8'6"... like a MH ToothTamer in 8"6... nice for the smaller /downsized lure(s), yet still packs the punch to drive hooks home and get them in the net.
OR another 9' in the action you like.. rig up another throw back bait on it... ToothTamer blanks are nice!

| Thanks for the input. Decided to go with Elk River ERX 8'6" 1-4 oz for $250. I throw more small stuff due to the bait in the lake and spring fishing situations. |
