Posts: 267 | Just ordered this combo. Hoping it will work good for most bucktail applications. Did I do ok?

Posts: 555 Location: Tennessee | I loved my TI XH telescopic for bucktails. Toro will do a good job as well

Posts: 4269 Location: Ashland WI | I have that same setup. I love it. Easily casts larger bucktails. I was even casting smaller blades with it as well. A little harder, but I just leave a bit more line out.

Posts: 815 Location: Waukee, IA | I run a 9 1/2' TI XH with a Toro S and it's great for everything up to double 8's. I prefer an NaCl 5.3 for 10's as it has a longer handle and less line pick up

Posts: 2687 Location: Hayward, WI | Yup, I have that same combo as well. Good for blades and a good al purpose combo as well. Also have a HS Beast that I put on either a 9' XH or XXH TI rod as well. Good combination.

Posts: 1425 Location: St. Lawrence River | 9' TI XH rods are sweet bucktail rods. I have one paired with a Beast 60. Simply sweet. I love my Toro S as well. Fantastic reel.

Posts: 267 | Great to hear everyone likes their TI rods and the Toro S. Can't wait to get it and try it out. My longest current rod is an 8 footer so this will be a new experience.

Posts: 251 | I have 9' TI XH that I currently use for bucktails and I really like it. I just bought a 9 1/2' XH to pair with my new Toro Beast 4.9. I will be trying it out soon as well. I bought it as my new Bucktail rig.

Posts: 35 | I use a xxh for 10s and bulldogs paired with a toro s. Havent used it much since I have been throwing those baits...but I have been using TI rods for years. I have two XHs, one for jerkbaits/gliders in 7'6" and one for topwater in 9'.

Posts: 267 | Well, I got my rod, and I screwed up and ordered a MH instead of the XH. So I ordered a XH tonight and am thinking of returning the MH. But to be honest, I kind of like the MH too. I might keep it. Anyone have the 9' MH and what do you throw with it?

Posts: 2024 | MH TI is great for topwater and lighter twitching cranks... Casts small bucktails a mile too, 8s and below. Mag blades are too much and you end up fighting the rod.Ver light and balances well with a 10-11 oz reel.
