Posts: 470 | Hey all, Working on getting a couple of guided days on St. Claire to cap off my July Vacation. Wondering where is a decent motel in close proximity to the ramp on the Detroit side. Not bringing my boat, if that helps things. Looking forward to the trip, hoping to put NetGurl on some bigguns. She wanted to go as her reward for straight A's this last school year... Any input appreciated, RandalB

Posts: 20278 Location: oswego, il | I stay at the baymont Inn in Roseville. I-94 and little mack Rd. They have boat hookups in the back and plenty of places to eat within minutes of the motel. The Clinton river cutoff ramp is about 5 minutes away. Easy drive to Brandenburg, selfish and the north channel launches.

Posts: 360 Location: Algonac, MI | Lodge Keeper is a dump. Recommend: Holiday Inn Express Hampton Inn Concorde Inn - Best Western. All located near M59 / I94 exchange (nice area). Easy in & out, and choices for food pretty close. Little Mack are hotels are still ok too...but that area is more seedy every day. Edited by Contender 6/10/2016 8:18 AM

Posts: 2 | We stayed at microtel twice in 2014 and it was primarily fisherman but we stayed at the super 8 in roseville last year and it was a dump. Nothing but drugs and hookers. The hallways smelt like cheech and chongs van.

Posts: 2427 Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | if you want the best place to stay...stay in Roseville. It is the best place to stay when fishing here as far as food, closeness to ramps, etc... Here are the two NICEST places to stay. 1. Hampton Inn on Gratiot or the Holiday Inn Express on Little Mack. These two are the "nicest". I put all my clients in the Microtel and the Baymount and have never heard a complaint.

Posts: 538 Location: northern indiana | Baymount sucked last Saturday night. Windsor is so much nicer from past experiences.
