Posts: 162 | This year is the first time I can start fishing musky in the spring and was woundering what would be the best lures to throw. Topwater, glidebaits, bulldawgs ect. Also where should I focus on (deep, shallow, structure, bait fish, ect) Let me know what you guys think thanks

Posts: 400 Location: Wisconsin | Agreed with these guys. I like squirkos and Shum shums. Fish mud bottom shallow flats, with weeds. The warmer the water the better in the spring, so pay attention to your water temps on your graph and phocus on highest temps you find. Work the baits very slow to begin.

Posts: 364 Location: Central Wisconsin | Idk why I bring anything other than hellhounds, always seems to be the bait that puts them in the boat. Find green weeds and start shallow/mid depths.

Posts: 401 | Don't overlook jigs and plastics in shallow water and new weed growth. Just ask walleyes fisherman how often they hook muskies in the spring.
