| Congrats on a lifetime achievement for both angler and captain. Fantastic that it still swims those Waters of the ST. Lawrence where the monsters live. BUT-- I also can't wait for the RECORD ( whatever that # is ) to be VERIFIED with a actual FISH !! just so much B.S. about every large fish that is caught and so many question everything. But here-- there is no doubt that is a GIANT MUSKY !!

| Hats off to Capt. Clarke on a fish of a life time, possibly a record breaker. Has to be one of the largest to be landed and photographed. One fish no one talks about is the Robert Malo musky. Which if it actually weighed 70lbs., it would have to be the biggest fish to lay in a net ever. Has anyone seen or have pics of the 70lb. fish caught out of the Middle Eau Claire in 1954. I've seen one pic from the freshwater hall of fame. it looks like it just ate a dog. If I am correct it would be the world record had it been weighed on a certified scale. |

Couple thoughts---In your opinion-are there even bigger fish in the system she was caught?
What are your personal thoughts on the whole world record Musky controversy?
Practically--will this change anything about the way you fish or approach guiding in general?
Finally--What does it feel like personally to catch the fish every guy out there is chasing? |

To answer your questions...
1. Yes I absolutely believe there are bigger fish in the St. Lawrence. We truly have the potential for the world record to come from the waters here in Clayton, NY
2. I always said it would have been good if the old records were froze and honored as historic record. A new category for current records could have be opened and the new rules would be followed by current anglers. It is a shame to bash reputations of anglers who can not speak for themselves. Do I believe there are some records that are not valid? Yes. But that was then and this is now.
3. This will not change anything as far as how I conduct my business.
4. It feels great! I have dreamed about this since I was a young boy. It is very satisfying to accomplish a goal honestly.
Best of luck to all and don't ever stop chasing the big one. There is always a bigger one out there. Mine will be bigger the next time someone catches her. |

| Now that's a mind-boggling Monstosity of a Musky! Kudos to him for the CPR and releasing the Musky back into the water to fight again. I heard he caught it while trolling a big crank with an adjacent shelf or some type of flat off the deep water. He didn't see the Musky on his locater.......the Musky just came out of nowhere and the battle ensued for his newbie Musky client. The Musky had one inch teeth and from what he could "gather" was healthy, robust, and showed plenty more years to grow. Now, the guide says he's after a 61incher, hey I think I'd be pretty elated with a 52. Keep casting those line's fellas because one day you just never know.  |
