| Looking to patch some smallish holes on the transom from previous ducer installs. Seen a few ideas on other boards. What do you all recommend to fill holes smaller than 1/4" on a glass boat?

When I did a restoration boat for my brother and sister in law, I used aluminum pop rivets and silicone. The pop rivet alone was probably a tight enough fit, but the silicone in the hole beforehand was added security...
Noticed you went back and edited your post after mine to mention you have glass... obviously the method I used would not be applicable.

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | If you can get the color matched gel coat, us a piece of packing tape, a dab of gel coat, and smooth the gel into the hole with the tape. Let it kick, peel off the tape, wet sand and buff. Like new. |

| Thanks Steve. I did some searching on here and saw that some older Tuffy's were painted? Mine is a 1991, is it gel coat or paint? How do I tell? Any suggestions on where to get matched paint or gel coat? |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | None were painted, it's all gelcoat. A body shop can help you if they do fiberglass work, or any boat repair facility. main issue is gel fades after a few years some, and the 'original' color will no longer match, so having someone mix up a bit for you is better if you want the repairs to match up fairly closely. |

| What about big holes?? Not to hijack your thread, but probably not worth starting another..
Probably pulling a kicker off my boat.. What should I fill the bolts holes with??
Same stuff work on the slightly bigger holes??

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Cut off hardwood dowels the correct diameter to fill the holes, soak 'em in catalyzed resin, and tap 'em into the holes. Then fill the area left with any good polyester based filler, let that kick and sand it smooth, then do the tape repair with gel coat. New. |
