I just got a new zalt for Christmas today that was bought at smokey's. It is an improvement from the european one I have. First of all it has a clear coat. Second of all it comes with hooks on it. I got a firetiger 5" floating zalt and it sure looks sharp.

things sure happen really fast in the States. I think it wasn't so long ago no one knew about zalts. Now they are planning on making 10" ones, new colors, they have US office, ... I sure wouldn't mind seeing the new ones, I haven't even heard about those here in Europe[8)]

Dirk- you need to check out the Zam's- Awesome twitch bait-The 10" Zalt isn't the only new Zalt lure in the works.

???????? I must have been away on a holiday to Mars or something. What is a zam?[8)]

Divani, I threw the zam and seen it for the first time and did the demo at the new london show. At a glance it looks like a cross between a bomber long a and a yo-zuri minnow bait. In the water all I can say is HOLY COW! The suspender is practically a side to side glider on a twitch. Not a huge bait but it's going to be huge in the musky, pike, walleye and bass world. Fantastic wobble on a straight retrieve and I can't wait to troll it.[:p]

ToddM,
Al R just rolled out the potential color selection choices on the big Zalt for me a couple of weeks back. I initially received a blue/silver zalt a few months ago. All I can say is I can't wait to stick a big, fat, Vilas County suspended pig on that lure. It has great action.

Divani,
Talk about things moving fast. When I was in Sweden I really looked forward to buying a Zalt or two, only my training hours did not allow for it. I was really disappointed. When I got back from my trip one of the guys that works with me states that he is starting up a new lure distributorship. He then asks me if I've ever heard of a Zalt. Talk about a small world....I almost fell off of my chair.

Dirk- The Zam is a new lure from Zalt AB (Sweden) here's what they look like-> http://www.thenethouse.biz/ZAMcolors.htm

I got my first sample Zam in the 06 color in November and took it to local river at very heavy fishing pressure spot-2nd cast a 20" Pike & 5th cast a ~40" Pike hit it, but I didn't get a good hook set. Probably easiest for you to get them direct from Zalt AB-> http://zalt.se/sezam.asp
