Arrived 7/14, air temps upper 80's and humid. Fished 6-11pm, mostly over weeds with nothing to show, too bad the muskies wern't biting like the mosquitos. Water temps in the main basin are upper 70's on the surface and water level is normal.

7/15 Fished 4am-9am, saw 2 tankers in the cabbage in 5' who wanted nothing to do with lures. Took the kids out for panfish and tubing this afternoon. It's overcast and starting to sprinkle, hoping this will get some fish active tonight.

Gotta 40" Pike and a 44" skie this afternoon and lost a Pig in the 8.... I totally screwed this one up.........@%@#**.....&@!#........ Oh well learned something I guess...... Water temps dropped when the front rolled thru but are still a bit high..........Main lake at the surface is 76.5 -77 and the north facing bays are around 79*

We need some cooler Weather.

Fished 6-10pm last nite, one decent pike on a chopper, my wife had a smallie on the same lure, nothing from the muskies.

7/16 front came through early this am, light rain, cleared off and air temps were at 90 this afternoon, toured the Soudan mine and swam with the kids. Just got back in, wife had a hit and miss on double 8's, nothing else. Air temps are cooling, surface temps tonight were 75-76.

Finally moved a fish on a mag d on the rocks yesterday am. Weed fish have been invisible. Nothing in the pm. Winds today switched from N-NE to S~SE.

Been slow all around in camp for the muskies but family time has been good.

Off to find some gills and bass.

After some steaks on the grill and ice cream at Moosebirds, we found some fish that like the leaches.....

Finally put one in the net this morning. My wife Amy stuck a 41" right at the boat on a bucktail on the rocks. Moved a tanker on a weagle over weeds but wouldn't eat, we'll see what tonight brings........

Moved fish this morning in the weeds on a weagle, (fish air balled over the top of the lure) and on a phantom. Tonight moved a couple on the rock bars on a hardhead and 10's.

Time to start packing to get back to the daily reality
