Posts: 91 | Was there a week ago. Try the bays with weeds such as the one behind treasure island and also try trolling the deep waters. Seen several boats trolling on the west end. You will see the baitfish on the graphs and on the surface. Good luck Dan

Posts: 4080 Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | First off,... I'm not giving Info to non members or guests. If you've fished V before or any lake like it...... Just find fishy spots and start fishing it , like 09 said above. Secondly, naming specific Bays and spots is not for the inter-net,...( i have been guilty of this) but I'm learning. Thirdly, as Rick Wolf says I "realistically have nothing" ,.....So call Rick....And then go tell all your friends what He told you. Seriously: in mid to late July the fish will be using Rocks,Weeds, and Deep basins. You may have to fish at night, like everyone else....Just keep the LIGHTS On. Good Luck.

try any of the hazard markers as they like to sit around the rocks in 10 feet of water. any of the bays are good. They're there, you just got to be lucky and also patient. there's NO secret spot as they move due to weather, foliage and food source.
