Hi guys,

Was just watching Midwest Outdoors. Has anybody here ever been to the Zippel Bay Igloo on Lake of the Woods? Looks like an oversized ice fishing shack / sports bar / restaurant complete with satellite TV that seats about 40. So apparently you order your food and drinks while seated at your table, watching a ball game and jigging for walleyes!

That's living in style. Anybody ever been there? I'm heading up with a group to Oak Island next week, and might want to stop by Zippel Bay and check out the Igloo if it's close enough to where we're staying. (I'm already losing focus).

Great idea.........they could put some pontoons under it and leave it there all year long. Cold beer and AC in the summer, hot chocolate and football in the winter.

Imagine the possibilities.

Beer, Dancing girls, and WAIT... Tip UP!

Fished the Alice in Winterland Tourney on Saturday in Tomahawk with 10 guys, countless beers, 2 full size gas grills with steaks, pork chops, and brats. As an added bonus, we had great tip up action all afternoon. All while it was almost 40 degrees. It was great!

As the crow flies, I'm guessing that's 15-20 miles away from Oak Island. Zippel Bay is on the south shore of LOTW, NW of Baudette.

For this year they added on to the size and almost doubled it. Don't have any pictures of the addition, but here's a couple shots from before.

I did find a picture of the new addition on my phone. They put another "igloo" on the other side of the central bar.

As a matter of fact was there last weekend. If your ever in the area its worth a stop. It was on our list of places to see while we were up walleye fishing. Ya better stop at the Wig Wam for a cold one also.

Knowiing my luck they would have on the tube Bulldog or even worst Gopher hockey. That wouldn't be the best thing to have on the screen.
