Posts: 425 | Those back to back tourneys, Okauchee then Pewaukee, do you have to do both or can you just choose one? Thanks!

You can do either one or both. They are two separate tournaments.

Posts: 33 Location: New Berlin WI / Pelican Lake WI | 50" All of the IMTT dates are one day events. We have been using this format for a while now. What we did for this year is try to do two one day events on the same weekend. It will be easier for us to do and we dont have to give up as many weekends because some of us guide and this is a busy time of the year for us. All of the events are going to run as scheduled and we hope to have a good turn out. We will have more detilals about the host sites and other things up on the web site very soon. Last year was or best year so far and we hope to do as well as that this year! We have had a good amount of interest already and look forward to seeing some new faces this year. Thanks Tom Rozek

Posts: 1220 | Mr Rozek is widely known as a pretty good cooker of brats at these events and I look forward to stuffing myself at most of them this fall...maybe catch a fish too! Lot's and lot's fun, not so serious that the folks forget it's supposed to be a good time--pretty darn friendly group. Marty Forman

I have been thinking about fishing the tournament on Pewaukee for a while. I don't troll or fish live bait a lot and just wondering if this is the most common method during the tournament. I was thinking about the October one. I know a lot of this will be determined by conditons; water temps, etc. just looking for a general answer. thanks, pmv

Posts: 1220 | TO: PMV, I don't think you will see that many of thee guys trolling at this tournament, although some guys do it to take a little break from casting now and then. As to suckers, I think most teams will drag a sucker along behind the boat but will still rely primarily on casting. For me, if casting is raising fish and cleaning the weeds off your sucker rig is taking a lot of time, I will ditch the sucker. Pewaukee guys tend to rely on trolling extensively during July and August, but go back to casting in shallower areas as lake temps cool back down. Marty Forman

Posts: 33 Location: New Berlin WI / Pelican Lake WI | Marty I am glad you and every one enjoy the food! We try to make the events fun for all who come. This year has been a little tough as far as sponsors go but we are still planning on the food and every one getting a door prize like we usualy do. PMV Because most of the events are in the fall I see more casting than any thing most guys pull a sucker along also. But more often than not we have way more boats casting than we do trolling. The normal turn out is 30 - 60 teams so it dose not get very crowded on the water. Hope to see you at one of our events! Make sure you stop by and say HI

This trail was designed to allow for trolling and live bait use. Its intended to expand the techniques for fishing musky. Not alot of guys troll exclusively in the November events. If I remember right, Scott Gagliano and partner trolled to a double for a win about 3 years ago. Fish this tournament and I'll garuntee that you walk away with a great experience. The people who run it painstakenly work to ensure you get your money's worth. On top of that, Pewaukee is arguably one of the best late fall lakes there is in this state.

Posts: 3240 Location: Racine, Wi | Definitely a great tournament series to fish. All of the guys that fish it are fun to fish against and a good time is had. Most guys do cast and drag one sucker (why not if you can do it), but some also just use meat, and some do troll for some time. You'll definitely have a good time regardless of how you like to fish.
