Much like the post about lures for LOTW, what would everyone recommend for Eagle Lake in the early September timeframe? I've been to Eagle 3 times now. Once as a kid on the North end, about 10 years ago in Osbourne Bay and 2 years ago in the center of the lake at NSL. The Osbourne trip was mid-August and I was just getting in to musky. What worked for us then was spinner baits & buzz baits (the Boogerman rocks!) right in the reeds. I mean darn near on the shore.

So what handful of lures would you absolutely have with you?

Thanks much everyone.

They are vicious beasts up there and I think we all know a hungry musky will eat anything in the size range of..well...stuff they eat

Only thing I would make sure to throw in is a rise and dive jerkbait. I prefer suicks but to each their own. Its something that the lake doesn't get pounded non stop with like the big blades and the muskie up there do seem to like them. Id have to agree a depthraider for the reefs too some of the fish just don't want to run all the way up to the top for a lure.

Double #10s & double #13s & topwaters from what I am hearing. My buddy just went to LOTW with some real good musky hunters and I don't think they took hardly any rubber with them. Boxes and boxes of bucktails and topwaters though
