| Did you guys watch Joe Bucher Saturday? He said he always tied his line directly to spinnerbaits (he was using a slop master) to avoid the leader wrapping around the blade arm on the cast and that leaders hurt the spinnerbaits proper action. I guess with the larger profile spinnerbaits the chances of line touching teeth are pretty slim. Anybody else do this? Thanks, Geoff Botkin Campbellsville, KY Green River Lake | |||

Not 60 pound, 80 pound test...but over 100 pound, no matter if it is straight wire or flouro It's that simple, a leader is a MUST HAVE

| I checked his website and it was a new episode so maybe it will show again this week, but I will keep the leader on. Just got a six new from Stealth. | |||

Posts: 574 | In his DVD (Slopmaster 1) I think.......He says that weeds get stuck on the leader and that he doesn't use one on spinnerbaits cause he thinks the wire on the bait is enough. I'll keep using an leader, but thanks anyway Joe.

Posts: 284 | I saw the show too. I think it's because bucher doesn't make good leaders. Ever notice he only throws his baits. It seems to me it's all about the money

Posts: 96 | After losing a huge fish with no leader, I've always had one on since with excellent results. My buddy told me muskies can't cut spiderwire. I just wish I could've learned on a smaller fish. doh!
