Has anyone been out on Eagle Lake lately. I am going up Friday, August 11 for a week of muskie fishing. Will be fishing the East end from Stanton Island down to Nivens. Any advice?

Was Just there and Top Raiders, Weagles, Shallow Dawgs, Jack Pots, and Suicks around any cabbage you can find. PM if you want to get more specific.

Topwaters, Bull Dawgs, and Bucktails moved the most fish for us. Most will hit in the figure 8. Pike went wild for us and the muskies just followed

"the week ended up strong.....barring some terrible weather patterns i would say we are nearing a peak in the next week or so that should carry us into sept." Steve Herbeck.

That was posted today on the AML sight. Sounds good to me. I hope it's okay to quote Herbie here. If not, Lambeau please do your thing. I hope it ended up strong for Andrew and Nikki.

Hot d@mn, I'm going to be on Eagle in the next week or so. I like peaks, though I'm more familiar with valleys.

Hi,

Andrew can probably give more expert advice, but we used a LOT of big bucktails (with maribou, so maybe they're not true bucktails) with big blades, really fast in the wind. I mean FAST, until you feel like your arm is going to fall off!

The colors everyone else found hot was black and orange, but Andrew seemed to find fish that liked a bright yellow and white. I caught my 40, however, on a Weagle.

And Kevin... in regards to dryer sheets and flies.... I can't say for sure that they helped, but they sure didn't hurt. I wouldn't get such strong scented ones as we had, though, as the bees seemed to then be attracted to them.
