This is driving me up the lake. This is a good size fish. Does nothing but follow lures; me an two other guys know about this fish. tried useing suckers as jerks an lures, and bait, just follows. We all showed up at one time last summer and tried trolling, nothing seems to work. Ok, please help. Thank you

Posts: 10 Location: Verona, WI | I had the same thing goin on last season. Tried everything, I thought. One night I tried the same ol same ol, but a little bit later in the evening, just about dark. She hit and ended up in pictures. 44 inches of satisfaction at that point. The only thing that I was doing any different was going after her in a lower light level. Give it a try, maybe it will work for you too. I hope this helps. You must be doing something she likes to get her interested in the first place. alot of times it will not take much more and you will have her. Bobby Edited by OrrsFishing 3/7/2006 8:30 AM

Posts: 336 Location: Lino Lakes, MN | Good advice above. Sometimes there isnt a thing you can do except keep coming back under prime conditions or changes in weather. We had a fish last year that we saw sitting suspended about 4-5' down over 15' of water. Threw everything but the kitchen sink at her and she wouldnt even move. We kept creeping up closer and closer to see what she would do and she just sat there. One of the fellas in the boat finally dropped a Dawg in front of her face and started jigging it. She wouldnt even swim off. He literally had the tail on top of the fishes head. We finally just took off and came back at her many times through the weekend but never got her. Sometimes I just say "stupid fish" and move on. Funny how frustrating these fish can be. Hope you get her in the boat for a quick photo shoot.

Posts: 1168 | Not a fish that really wants to eat...so I say make her mad. Toss something obnoxious at her that makes noise, enough to irritate her to the point where she just gets mad and attacks for no reason other than she's mad. One trick is to take a buzzbait of some sort, pinch the blade down so it clicks real loud on the shaft, toss it in front of her and buzz that thing underwater right in front of her nose. The loud ticking might just be enough to irritate the crap out of that thing to at least get her to move.
