| Bought 2 of the Salty S-10 with C clamps in powder coat black finish last year. This is one of the best purchases I've made in a long time. We hung up a few times speed trolling and these holders never budged. Also, really like the quick release action. I believe the salty series is less likely to corrode and will hold thicker handles found on some fiber glass rods. | |||

| I've used the salty model while trolling. I bolted them on each side of my 1775 pro-v on the flat part of the gunnels. Really great set-up. | |||

Posts: 1137 Location: Holly, MI | You might want to check on the diameter of the rods you intend to troll with. The Salty series have a larger diameter. I prefer the smaller size as it fits my rods tightly. Especially on the rods that get mounted up front as "down rods". The powder coated do move a little more freely after years of use. I wish they made the powder coated in the smaller size. Any rod holder made by these guys will NOT dissapoint you. Built for duty! | ||

| I'm just about to order up a few of the S-14's. Mikes Extreme had a couple of Down Easters that we clamped on my rig for the Cave outings and I liked them. I plan on putting some of the plastic dip on the actual rod holder part. Anyone do this? the dip that is used on pliers and stuff. I think it may be a little better for wear and tear on the rods...... | |||
