Posts: 513 Location: Ludington, MI | Heading up Saturday, just wondering what the warmth this week has done to the water temps and bloom conditions up there? More fish shallow or sliding back to the edges? Seems like I've hit the wrong end of the temp roller-coaster the last couple years.

Posts: 1589 Location: Brighton CO. | I live in Colorado but I read the Kurt's Landing fish report yesterday and the water temps shot back up to close to 70's (up from 60-58) acording to the report.

Posts: 358 Location: Western U.P. | Water temps moved up this week with air temps close to 90 during the day. Temps on their way down now, and fronts forecasted to be moving thru the area all weekend. With temps and barometer up and down, the bite has been slow. Take advantage of the fronts coming and going.

Posts: 1589 Location: Brighton CO. | I'll be in Hayward in about a month, we talked of going in September to get in on the topwater bite on the Flowage but I don't like fishing in 80's, 90's in the fall after all it's been hotter then all heck all summer. I like the cool and cold and quiet of the latter fall.

Posts: 681 Location: Duluth | I'll be out that way next weekend. Haven't decided whether we are going to trout or musky fish in the afternoons after we bird hunt. Could be too hot to run the dog anyway and turns into a pure fishing trip. I'm just waiting for the night time temps to start dropping a little more, hope the forecast is correct. We'll either be on the Cisco chain, bond falls, or hopping the pot holes in Wisconsin. Actually fairly excited.

Posts: 25 | Tough sledding a few days ago out there. 65-68 and rising. Not a ton of bloom, some spots full of forage bubbling on the surface but no wind and no cool down made it suck out there. Shorelines and trees starting to pop made for spectacular scenery

Posts: 207 | Fished Eagle river chain last week, algae bloom all lakes and river. Fishing was the worst I've I ever had. Better luck to all that is going up there.

Posts: 1589 Location: Brighton CO. | As I sit here thinking of the Muskies I've caught this time of year and the fun times and leaves changing but also the times when the water temps went up instead of down and how bad things can get. (fishing wise)
