Location: Ft. Wayne Indiana | I know this has been discussed before, but what are some sugggestions to keeping the eyes on your rod from freezing up?
I remember somebody said they sprayed something on them. Does that affect the line? Does the spray cause your line to become weaker, breakdown?

Location: Holly, MI | Winter steelhead fishing on the river we used to stuff our rods in the water and swish them around around. This worked ok even tho the water temp was only a few degrees above freezing.
How about a non stick spray?
Are we talking about mono or braids? |

But I would be afraid that WD40 or Pam would have some sort of effect on the line.
I would hate to spray that on my guides, then have my line break, and have a fish with a 10 inch Jake connected to her face swimming around.
I use super braids lobi, power pro.

Location: Holly, MI | Good info 52. I thought the WD-40 or Pam shouldn't hurt the power-pro but might break down the mono. I also use and love power-pro. |

Location: God's Country......USA..... Western Wisconsin | Try the "Reel Magic" made by Blakemore. It works well and does not seem the have any effect on the line whatsoever. I get mine at my local Wally World. |
