Just wondering what most of you guys keep on hand in your boats for replacement hooks? what sizes and how many of each?

If I am in my boat I have a box with a large selection of hooks from 1/0 to 7/0 and they are all presharpened. If I am in someone else boat I will rob one off another bait and replace that hook when I get home.

I keep at least 5 of each size and keep more at home to restock. This is what I have in my hook box along with a mix of some smaller replacements for spring baits/rattle baits and some singles certain things.
Eagle Claw 774 (2/0 - 5/0)
Mustad 3551 (5/0 - 7/0)
Mustad 3565 (2/0 and 3/0)
Innovations Plasma Point (7/0 and 8/0)

Not sure why I never thought of sharpening the spare hooks I keep in the boat. Thanks for the idea, will do them when I go through the lures in April.

"Eagle Claw 774 Size 3/0, 4/0, 5/0. Mustad 7/0. 5-10 of each" Propster pretty much covered it. I keep some 4/0 and 5/0 374 eagle claws for nippers in the boat too. Seems like that beaked hook gets more short striking fish for some reason?

Since many - most of their hooks are wide gap to begin with I only use 1/0 to 3/0 Owner replacement hooks. Which is fine for me since I don’t throw anything over 4 oz. Some of their 3/0 are bigger gapped than other brands 5/0. They also come in different weight which is nice if you’re when trying to balance out a jerk – twitch bait. They also do not require sharpening as they are needle sharp.

I carry a small Plano with an assortment of sizes and styles all pre sharpened in my boat. In any other boat I take one from another bait.

Small box of treble (various sizes) and a few singles. The single hooks usually come out no problem but if I were to have to cut one for whatever reason, I have a replacement.
