I have several Diawas and older Abu Garcias that need ceramics, discs and magnetic brakes. Anyone used Hatteras Jacks?

I also use Dave's. Excellent and timely service. Good price.

Have not used Hatteras Jack or anyone else so can't really comment versus others and there are certainly many on this site who do reel service and have superb reputations.

If you are looking to put Mag Brakes on a Saltist try grease in the spool bearings first, that should slow them down so the reel won't over run.
I get $25.00 a reel to Detail, Tune and Relube a reel. I break them down !00% and use a Ultra Sonic Cleaner on all parts and the Bearings, then polish any contact points. I'm out about 2 weeks or so right now. PM me for any more info, Daves is also a Great place to send reels.

I used all of the reel shops mentioned in this thread and some not mentioned. I believe that Dave's reel repair is the best. Price, turn around, quality of parts, parts availability and quality of service make Dave's the winner.

Thanks
I real enjoy working on reels, I do it because I love Tuning reels, I will take
Hours on a reel to make it smooth as others shops can't devote the time I will to a Reel to make it smoother then it was stock.
Plus I use oils a grease that will Molecularly bond to the metals and bearings to last the whole season not a few weeks, it cost a lot more but I know the reels will last the season.
