Do you work at SPFD, I work at Antigo FD. I would love to fish tomorrow, but the wife and I are looking at buying a house tomorrow night when she is done with work. We should definetely go some time though.

If it's windy I will try some new smaller water, if it stays calm either Big Arb or Pelican.

Hi MM<
Ever fish for muskies in Waupaca Chain?

I am there this weekend, and was thinking of trolling a deep basin.
Other than a token family visit and dinner Saturday I am out there, our place is on North end of Sunset Lake, close to the Taylor Lake boat landing.

Cisco and maybe a mini-depth raider?

We see nice big fat tigers, but haven't gotten them to move.

Later,

Just got back, boated two fish a 38" and 32" on Hancock Lake and had numerous follows. Both fish on a Black/Orange Pacemaker over the cabbage in the south end.

Papa Joe,

I fished it one day last year, mostly in Otter. Nothing....there are some nice fish in there, though very few. I'm sure most are suspended and trolling will be the ticket. Good luck, I probably won't be fishing during the weekend.

MM<
Did I hear correctly that you can backtrool only on the Chain O' Lakes (Waupaca)? The Hot Spots map talks about backtrolling for brown trout (Long Lake), so I am thinking I could also backtroll (as fast as my rowboat will go in reverse) a baby depth raider, or maybe a large white spinnerbait, through and over the cisco schools or maybe just randomly for suspendoes.

Been there 30 years and never saw anyone trolling for muskies.

Then again, it is a bass haven, and 99% of the crowd is going for LM and SM.

Thanks,
Papa

Yep, no motor trolling, just good old-fashioned row trolling.
