Location: Central IA | They say muskies are a fish of 10,000 casts. I'm pretty sure I greatly exceeded that but finally nailed my first on Clear Lake Sunday. Only 39" and I'm thinking male as he wasn't very thick but I was glad to have him. Hopefully it won't take me another 14 months for #2.
Thanks to all for the insight and advice over the last year plus as I evolved as a Musky fisherman. I always said that I enjoyed my time in the boat with my son but it is much nicer to make him be the net man for once. Can't wait to get back on Vermilion for the fall outing and see if I can't get #2 with a little more size to it.

Location: Ohio | Nice job! Research that spot you caught him on and look for others around the lake and I'm sure it won't be 10,000 casts for the next one. |

Location: davis,IL | Only 9,999 to go for #2. So start casting now, as often as you can to knock the numbers down a little for next year. Seriously though you could make 3 casts and have 3 fish in a row, so keep slinging that rod. |
