Posts: 46 Location: Addison,IL./ Hayward Wi. Chippewa Flowage | "Reddish sucker","barred sucker","walleye",and good ol' "flo. orange with black spots".Has anyone ever given that color a good name besides "orange with black spots"?I think it needs a better name.I'm sure almost everyone has that color and has had action on it...I sure have had alot.I think it deserves a good name.I have an idea but we have to shorten it a bit.Now this name is from the muskies point of veiw. How about... "What the hell is that? I'm gonna eat it anyway and find out" color. What do you think? Posts: 1084 Location: Aurora | I've always called it "The New Black" If memory serves, the Druid origins of orange and black can be traced back to the Celtics. To the Celtics, orange symbolized the harvest and black was death. Soon after Julius Caesar's raid on Celtic Britain in 55 BC, orange became so fashionable people began referring to it as the New Black. Considering the above and the fact that it's taken so many fish and continues to do so, The New Black always seemed fitting. ~ahem~ Edited by Sidejack 4/26/2014 1:08 AM

Posts: 46 Location: Addison,IL./ Hayward Wi. Chippewa Flowage | There's some really cool ideas in there. It definitely deserves a cool name I think. Hey sidejack how about we just call it "Julius Caesar"? One of my daughter's took one look at it and said "orange dalmation" girls??? When I ever launch my custom musky lure company I'll have to make a decision. The company name will be "IRAIZOR ACTION LURES". Keep an eye out. I think you guys should all buy one of those orange musky mind freaks and field test them to get a real feel of the lure color
