| I've moved to a larger home that has an unfinished basement that is going to be my new workshop. Just wondering what some of your shops look like. Like to see pictures if possible. need ideas this basement will become... yes my mancave Garage is already overtaken need suggestions and ideas |

| Well are you going to make out of wood or lead. If wood plan on a vacumm system then a bench and what or where to place your tools. I don't have a picture but I work on the wood in a shop outside and paint and assemble in the basement. Just plan it out on paper first, also maybe a wall to keep the mess in one place. Good luck.

| Not a basement workshop but a 40x72 garage with a 12x31 workshop and a 16x16 office/mancave. GEO thermal heat in the floor that's also tired into basement floor piping (No more outside wood boiler) room for three vehicles and two boats. Now just have to get a second boat. This was upgraded from a previous post of a 40x60 garage due to adjustments in construction. The other day it was 55 degrees out and 75 in garage with the GEO thermal heating. |

| i am building two work shops ,one at the lake , one in the city. Both feature white floors, white walls and white kitchen counters and both will have white painted peg board with magnetic tool bars . All the white paint will reflect light and make it easy to find loose parts that sometimes get away from you. Most of the tools will hang on the bars side by side so they can be seen and the larger stuff will hang from peg board. In addition I will have receptacles to plug in electric tools. Hope this helps.

Location: Nordeast Minneapolis | How much space do you have, and what are you planning on doing? We just moved into a new place a little while ago, and I'm in the process of putting a new shop together in the unfinished part of the basement. In the old house, it just sort of developed over time, but since I got to be more deliberate this time, I did a fair amount of planning. I spent some time thinking about my tools, how I used them before, how I want to be using them, and how to set up an efficient workflow... not just where to put everything. Fingers crossed that all the pieces fit together the way they're supposed to, though. I just started assembly.
Mostly I'll be excited to not have to step on a stepstool to run the band saw! My space was so limited before that I had to rotate out tools on the workbench, and that just sucked.
